Are you BIT.TRIPPING in HD?

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

If you are, then please let us know how! Cause that would be super cool.

Unfortunately, the Wii just doesn’t do HD. However, you can squeeze more eye candy out of it if you have the right cables. The Wii comes packaged with composite cables (yellow, red, and white) with gives ya a resolution of 480i. However, if you snag the official Nintendo component cables you can bump that up to 480p. The advantage 480p has over 480i is quite noticible and is definitely worth the price of the extra cables.

Composite: Bad. Component: Good.

In order to provide the most kick-ass experience possible, Gaijin Games targets the BIT.TRIP games at 480p in widescreen mode. So if your TV can handle it (most nowadays can), we urge you to check your cables and go for it!
