¡Voy a Madrid!

July 12th, 2010 by Alex Neuse

That’s right!  Tomorrow I wake up insanely early to catch a flight outta here!

ideame

I’ll be speaking at the iDÉAME event at The Complutense University of Madrid where they have a Masters program in Video Game Development!

Being that I am a self-proclaimed master of video game development, it seems appropriate, I must say.

Also, I don’t speak Spanish, so I’m hoping that there’s a translator on hand.  Here’s the schedule, translated by Google Translate.  Of particular note is the last item on the agenda…

I guess I’ll see you all on the flip side.

A Public Service Announcement

Hey Mom! We’re Famous!

July 2nd, 2010 by Alex Neuse

Moms of Gaijin Games staff around the world can finally weep tears of joy that their babes have made it on the front page!

The punchline is that we did it by MAKING VIDEO GAMES!

sentinelz

Luckily, our mothers were content to let us ruin our eyes by sitting too close to the television while playing Metroid in the basement–otherwise, none of this would be possible!

It’s funny, because while our escapades have been reported all over the Internutz, there must be something about being in a newspaper that gets people all riled up.

Thanks for all the well-wishing, moms!  It is our soul goal in life to make you proud of us.

For those of you not in arm’s reach of a Santa Cruz Sentinel, you can read the article online here.  Why, our good friend Edmund McMillen even got in on the action!

Come to our Pre-E3 Game Night/Party in LA!

June 8th, 2010 by Alex Neuse

OK, seriously.

This is going to be BIG.

game-night-flyer-gaijin-games-small

This is going to be big like buildings.  More specifically, like the sides of buildings that the BIT.TRIP games will be projected onto during the GAME NIGHT - Pre-E3 Party at Giant Robot!

This event is open to the public, and is going to be a great opportunity for us to meet our fans, eat, drink, be merry, and most importantly of all, PLAY VIDEO GAMES THAT ARE BEING PROJECTED ONTO BUILDINGS!

We’ve collaborated with the amazing folks at Giant Robot, Attract Mode, and LA Game Space to kick off their first official Game Night.  And what better night to host it than when all of our industry buds are in town for E3!

There will be games to play, industry folks to meet, and a BIT.TRIP themed menu at the GR2 restaurant, featuring BIT.TRIP BEETS.  I’m not kidding.

Anyone who’s anyone will be there.  And so will you.

Let’s play!
