Hey internetz! BIT.TRIP VOID is available TODAY as evidenced by the DSi picture I snapped of me in front of the Wii Shop Channel!
Yes, I’m that good-looking in real life.
Let us know what you think of VOID by bangin’ out some Tweets, posting on facebook, or just commenting here!
Continue rocking on. Over and out.

Once again, these binary walls shall not stifle my joy!
BIT.TRIP.VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOID!
Void is sitting on my Wii menu downloaded and ready to play. I’ve got to go run a few errands first though. So close, yet so far!
YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I’m already on Super-ego!
That pic frightens me to basically no end.
holy crap that pic is creepy!
lmao!
w00t void is finally here!!
I downloaded it, played the first level, died, and then had to rush off to work… I’ll be playing a whole lot more when I get back home! <3
Damn, no demo!
Sister funk, brother funk, grab your funk and do the funk.
HOLY SHIIIIIIIT! Can’t wait to download it later, guys <3 Game was AMAZING at PAX ^_____^
I’m on super-ego right now. I’d say it’s a little easier than Core so far.
Glad the game is better looking than your face.
Hmmm…
Better than core, harder than beat, and easier on the eyes than both put together. Gents, you have a winner on your hands.
I. Am. Ready!
This game is beautiful, and the bosses are your best yet. Can’t wait to see what else you guys are capable of. Bit Trip is the finest experience on Wii.
Overall, too easy. Not really digging this one as much as Core. Controls better than Beat, at least. I just am not able to get all that into it.
Somehow I see one of the next games being an auto-run jumping game. Like, all about timing jumps and double jumps and wall-jumps or something to pick up the bits. Especially with Commander Video running like that at the end. Leave him -exactly- like that, and only being able to jump.
Err….
You know….
“RUN1-ENJOY1-”
…. I guess that -is- what the next game is. A run-and-jump controlling the Commander. Possibly mono-speed. The Delorian images were referring to “Must be going 87 mph” or whatever, the whole speed element. I’d prefer side-scroller more than an over-the-shoulder. And I do like the thought of having to do wall-jumps instead of just hurdle jumping. That’d be cool. Heh.
I don’t agree with some of the people saying it is easier. I feel that each game has its own difficulty setting. Beat requires swift movement of the wrists and precision, Core requires hand-eye coordination with the D-Pad, and Void requires precise movements with the joystick. I feel this game is harder than Core, due to my lack of precision in joystick movement.
The integration of menus in this game is much more unique than the others, though I do have one complaint. I don’t know how I’m doing; I can’t tell if I’m about to go Nether really or to the next level up.
You’ve another winner on your hands, gaijents.
I am totally digging the groovin tunes and the minimalist background (much easier on the eyes!
). Void does seem easier then the previous two, but that’s fine; I can always go back and play through “growth” if I ever feel the urge to yell at the tv and break things. Super Ego is a bit of a challenge though. I still haven’t beaten the boss yet (turkey day and black friday both took me away from the Wii), but I am enjoying the experience.
A note…
Why do all those random words appear in the background of VOID during play? Not “challenge” or “vortex”, but I saw some like “ambition”. Any idea?
There is no way I am the only one who is reminded of Fire Marshall Bill.

@Mystic_Kirby:
The entire game references Freud’s structural model of the human psyche.
Without getting too in depth, each “level” or “song” embodies the part it is named after. All of the emotions in the background are not only relevant to the name of the level; they also describe what you are doing in the gameplay.
You can read more about freud’s psychoanalysis here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id,_ego,_and_super-ego
It’s actually very interesting how Gaijin crammed all of the allusions into the gameplay and yet managed keep it slowing flawlessly. It’s the small touches like this which remind me why I enjoy their games so much.
