Not enough people exyrcise their right to use the letter Y as a vowel, if even just sometimes.
Thank God we’ve now got Zyrx to play!
Zyrx is an addictive little game for the iPhone that we recently discovered here in the Gaijin lair. It’s been a while since I wrote a blog post focusing solely on giving propers to someone who deserves them. After playing Zyrx on Chris’ iPhone, I was inspired to whip out my propers and show ‘em to Jason Cirillo of Robotube Games. Jason, here are my propers. Look at them. You deserve them.

Zyrx is a simple puzzle/memory game in which you have to remember the patterns presented to you and recreate them without screwing it up. And that’s pretty much it. Now, I know it sounds super simple, and it is, but that shouldn’t turn you off to this nicely presented gem. The production values are great, the visuals pleasing, and the challenges well tuned. And the game over image will haunt you. I will offer up one caveat though. If you’re just not into puzzle games or memorization-based gameplay, you may want to steer clear. But for the $2 it’ll run ya, it’s a steal.
In fact, I’m going to come out and say it. The iPhone prices, across the board and generally speaking, are way too low. I think that the constant undercutting of prices on the App Store is a dangerous precedent to set. Folks worked hard on many/most of those products, and they’re worth money which the creators deserve. Certainly they shouldn’t cost as much as a retail product, but there are SO many products that are worth way more than the price they go for. This is a topic for a bigger, more ranty article though, and I don’t want to sully the propers which I’m trying to give to Robotube…
Robotube dude(s), make more rad games like this! I mean, come ON!
Y’all can play the web version of the game here. I prefer the iPhone version though.
Continue rocking on. Over and out.

This is Robotube. Roger that…rocking on affirmative. Over.
Robotube is the new pink
