Hey everyone! Our first game, BIT.TRIP BEAT is now available on the Wii Shop Channel! And it’s only 600 Wii Points ($6.00)!
For the digital-distribution-savvy hardcore crowd, I assume you know how to get your copy. But for those new to purchasing from the Wii Shop Channel, below is a pictorial step by step walkthrough of the process.
Before you begin, you’ll need to make sure your Wii is connected to the internet. And then you do this…
1. Fire up your Wii and select the Wii Shop Channel from your Wii Menu.
2. If BIT.TRIP BEAT doesn't show up as a "Recommended Title", hit the Start Shopping Button.
3. Select WiiWare.
4. Select Newest Additions (or Search by Game Title if it's been a while since the 3/16 release date).
5. Find BIT.TRIP BEAT in the list and select it.
6. Select Download to buy it!
7. After downloading, you'll see this screen.
8. And then on the Wii Menu, you'll see our Banner! Select it to play the game!
And that about does it. Depending on how popular the game becomes, it might show up in the Recommended Titles section, but you can always look for it by searching for the title.

Great stuff. The patterns go from perplexing to intuitive once your mind “clicks.” I love it.
This game is fantastic. Reminds me of the Atari classic Kaboom! a little more than Pong, which is a good thing. Very addicting! Great job, guys.

It’s amazing! I just… wow… I play it, and I just have to get into that zone. Then, when I see videos of the level I just played on youtube, it just blows my mind. I’m like “How was it even possible for me to beat that?”

The UK launch should be soon. Sadly, that’s all the info I have. With the digital distribution stuff, it’s very difficult to predict release dates (even as a developer of the product!). Rest assured, it definitely is coming. Don’t hold me to this, but my hope is that it will be within the month of April. That is my hope.

Is there any way you guys can add online leaderboards in a DLC? A game like this REALLY needs leaderboards since it is definitely a game where the world will want to compete for the highest score. This is the one problem I have with this game (the rest is perfect!), and I feel like it would be a pretty easy fix considering the benefit it would have! It would create a ton of replay value! What do you say???
