When Gaijin Games went into full production in 2008, we acquired a rather sweet, and sometimes described as “awesome”, piggy mushroombank.
Dropping a few coins into the thing whenever the occasion moved us seemed like a splendid idea. We also decided that the mushroombank would only get opened ONCE A YEAR!
On January 1st (or the first work-day of the New Year).
After the dust settled, all said and done, counted and accounted for, we had managed to extract $48.20 from the mushroombank!
And here’s the grig-bite:
Our new tradition, we decided, would be that each year, with the proceeds from the mushroom bank we’d buy ONE bottle of wine to enjoy over the reminiscing of the 365 priors.
Chris, our resident wine sno— er, connoisseur will be choosing the bottle this year (and probably every year). Look forward to a write up of the experience in part 2 (hopefully coming soon).
Continue rocking on. Over and out.

The question I have is where all this “extra change emmanates from. Why is more of it not buying us lunch out on a more regular basis?

I like how you guys subtly snuck the “Commander” game into the pic of the money. Very sneaky

You just confirmed my thoughts
For a while I though it was you guys. Your money is in groups of $10. That means the remake of Nether Earth will cost $10
I’m getting it for sure. lol, you won my money with your great advertising
I hope the game lives up to all of this.
well, happy cheers to your decision to celebrate! that’s a super sweet mushroombank. but you already know that.
