    Seems appropriate, but I’m disappointed you didn’t stay totally Nintendo exclusive.

    Not that I nor practically anyone who’s not an Apple fanboy considers the iPhone a serious video game competitor, but whatever. If anything I can say that the iPhone finally has at least ONE piece of quality software.

  4. Brainhost says:

    Whoa, that’s awesome! And congratulations.
    I’ve read in TouchGEN that you’re also gonna be creating additional levels for it. Any chance that those might come to WiiWare as well, or are is that deal strictly for the iDevices? I don’t have one, so I’m hoping WiiWare gets them two, naturally.

  13. Lewis B. says:

    Port it to Android and then I’ll be impressed.

    Honestly, that’s great news! I’ve owned Bit.Trip Beat since it launched on WiiWare, and it’s a fantastic game. I hope you guys sell even more copies on the iPhone!

  14. Patrick says:

    That’s pretty cool. Though a 3DS version would be EVEN COOLER.

  15. AndyTron says:

    Fantastic.

  16. Vince says:

  17. Wiiver says:

    Boo! I’m not a fan of the iPhone. Isn’t it about time the iPhone is replaced w/ the next ‘best thing’.

  18. Ryan D. says:

    Nice! My girlfriend doesn’t have a Wii, but she has an iPod Touch, so maybe now she can get the hang of playing BEAT too. (She has a hard time with BEAT. Strangely, she’s really good at CORE.)

    I myself don’t have an iPhone/iTouch, but hey. More people playing awesome games is fine by me.

  22. Cool says:

    Looks great! Is there any chance of bringing the BIT.TRIP series to the PSP & 3DS. I think both systems would be great for the BIT.TRIP games.

    I have enjoyed them on the Wii & would like to play them on the go. I do not have an IPhone. I will be buying the 3DS when it comes out & right now I have a PSP. So I hope you think about bringing the BIT.TRIP games to either of those systems. That being said congratulations on bringing the series to the iPhone/iTouch.

    iPhone people may be disappointed to find out the game is one in a series of six that will be damn near impossible to similarly port…

    Oh well, they’re used to incompatibility issues by now D:

  25. cd15 says:

    again I say does anyone want to gess when it comes out?

  26. game says:

    nice game, it should show the tricky to play game enjoyable

  27. Indigo Getdown says:

    Nice, the more people who play Bit.Trip, the better!

    As long as we’re talking about ports, let me throw this out there-

    Once all 6 games are completed, port them all over to the 3ds in one three dimensional bit-triptastic retro gaming collection.

    If you guys actually do this, I’ll even buy one of those suckers :D

  28. @Indigo Getdown BIT.TRIP + 3D=Awesome and poor eyesight and blown out brains.

  29. jbrodack says:

    This reminds me that you’re supposed to be porting a game FROM the iphone too. So, any news on lilt line?

  31. Do You Need To Know? says:

    post something

  32. Stratostar says:

    I agree with Namo… as a Nintendo fan, I just wish this wonderful series would stay exclusive to the best video game company in the world.

  33. HAL says:

    @Stratostar
    Well even though Nintendo is pretty great, but sticking only with nintendo ensures that it will always be the best in the world, wich is bad. Sometimes a really good videogame is just awesome, regardless of the source (but not of the price :( )

  34. HAL says:

    When is it time for another post? Please, anything Bit.Trip CORN

  35. Stratostar says:

    @HAL
    Well, HAL, I have to say, you are actually right. I love that quote, and you used it correctly. “Sometimes a really good video game is just awesome” means that sometimes a really good video game is so awesome that everyone should be able to experience it, in this case, on many different game systems. Excuse my fanboy-ism, but Nintendo is THE best. I mean c’mon, no other company has Zelda, Mario, Metroid…….and the fantastic new series that is Bit.Trip got its start on….where else? WiiWare, a new family of games from third parties and new developers, available only avaliable on Wii.
    Well, this comment is too long by now.
    Oh and I know right? It is definitely time for a new post! Anything Bit.Trip will do.

  36. HAL says:

    @Stratostar
    Actually alot of wiiware titles are on other systems just to name a few…
    Cave Story is on PC and Iphone
    World of Goo is on PC and Iphone
    Not to mention Super Meat Boy will be on XBLA and PC as well
    Plus there are millions of games PC, XBox, PS3 games that rock. I only have a wii and PC though…
    I heard little Big Planet is so good that I should get a PS3 just to have that game. I have awesome PC games like Spore, Cave story, Ikachan, Action Fist, and many more.
    Nintendo has one thing that low budget developers just don’t have and that’s money to make their games good no matter how simplle their gameplay was. (although super mario galaxy was pretty good) Games like world of goo and Bit.Trip were ingenious, inspired, and well made. I will do whatever is the most fun, I used to be an extreme fanboy of nintendo. It was really spore that enlightened me that nintendoism will keep you away from hoards of awesome games. Oh and clicking my name will teleport you to the first gaijin Games blogpost

  37. HAL says:

    Bit.Trip CORN on the COB?

  38. Stratostar says:

    @HAL
    Ok, you are semi-right. Cave Story and World of Goo, the hit WiiWare games, are on iPhone and PC, and Super Meat Boy has been confirmed for and XBLA release.
    However, it doesn’t matter that World of Goo is on PC because that is where it originated. As you may know, the WiiWare version is based off of that.
    Super Meat Boy, was announced for Xbox Live AFTER production started of the WiiWare one. If you ask me, Xbox copies everything Nintendo comes up with nowadays. I mean, there’s this, and don’t even get me started on their wannabe-Wii motion controls ripoff, project natal, or kinect, whatever.
    As for Cave Story, I don’t care at all that it is on PC and iPhone, which are not at all competitors for Nintendo.
    Being a Nintendo fan ensures that you are exclusive to hoards of the BEST games.
    Oh, and thank you for directing me to the very first Gaijin games blogpost, it was a good read. :)

  39. HAL says:

    @Stratostar
    You know, I’ve always wanted to play some of the games on other systems like little big planet, portal 2, little big planet 2 but I don’t have the money. I don’t even have all the software I want for the systems I have.
    And you are wrong about the copy thing, they probably thought they would get bad buisiness if they did not have something to compete with the wii’s motion control, and it isn’t a ripoff (or so I’ve heard) it’s a camera thingy and it monitors your movement. And XBLA did not copy Super Meat Boy, you see Team Meat has had games on XBLA before and Super Meat boy would do better on more systems
