It’s your lucky day! Through a step-by-step process detailed by the ever-extraordinary Ty Dunitz, you can now see how the image below came in to being.
Obviously, that promo image for BIT.TRIP RUNNER is 100% totally choice, but so too is watching how it came together. Check out the process by clicking the image below.
Posting about such a sweet piece of BIT.TRIP art wouldn’t be right without hosting a contest to win a print of said art, now would it?
SO…
Send your best parody of Ty Dunitz’s final image to info[at]gaijingames.com and we will judge you. The winner will get a physical print of Ty’s RUNNER. Bonus points for pancakes.
You have until next Friday, April 2nd at 11:59 pm PST. GO!
Continue rocking on. Over and out.

umm im gonna guess the release date for Bit.Trip Runner …. Apr 5th…. thats what it says on the G4 website
I don’t want to depress potential entrants to this contest but, unless someone REALLY brings their ‘A’ game, Neil has got this one in the bag.
I’ve seen his piece and it is amazingly good.
Hmmm… how closely related to Ty’s art does this have to be?
Hey! I just noticed something! The first three Bit.Trip games are about me!
Seriously!: My full name is VINCENT DOMINIC DZIK (yes, I know it’s weird), and
the names of the first three games are BEAT, CORE, and VOID.
Now, watch this:
“Vincent” and “Beat” each share exactly two letters (E and T),
“Dominic” and “Core” each share exactly two letters (O and C),
and “Dzik” and “Void” each share exactly two letters (D and I)!
Therefore, Gaijin Games should e-mail me their latest build of RUNNER. Immediately. As a Mac Application. (demanding? me?)
WTF!!!! @ Bit.trip Runners supposed 800 points price!!!! I Had EXACTLY 600 Points Waiting 4 this Release … WTF!!

Well, it didn’t come out on Monday the 19, maybe Monday the 26th?
