I lack style and skills… the idea is awesome but I don’t feel very exited to be part of a BIT.TRIP game which has more than 4 letters in his name….

@ilopan - Really any format is all right. We need to process the ones we’re going to use in-game anyway.
@Romeo - While animated GIFs are totally awesome, for this use, they’re not the best option, so let’s go with stills. Also, we haven’t gotten a solid VOID release date yet, but we’ll be posting about it on our site the moment we do.

I did a variety of things you may choose.
If you need to blow it up larger, you can use photoshop to do it in one of two ways: to keep the pixels sharp and intact, under Preferences > General > Image Interpolation, choose Nearest Neighbor,
or you can get the vague multicolored smoothing effect found here and there in Bit.Trip by having it set to Bicubic (best for Gradients), I believe.

All the colors were taken from that “leaked” screen of Runner and CV was combined with space invaders to create…idk…commander invaders?

How I’d envision it is probably being beamed up from a farm by aliens as it is in the actual game I’m making :P. Or maybe floating in space looking rather confused. Blinking.

I wanted to know what the due date is. It’s good to know what the schedule is for a piece of work. I will create one, I would love to be a part of this project in any shape way and form.
I’m currently in the business of creating 8-Bit paintings. I think 4-Bit may be great to give a try… but then again I would love to know what 4-Bit specifically entails.
My assumption is 4 colours? I would just like more info on the deadline for sure though. I don’t want to start working on something and then miss the submission date.
@TheMaverickk - The deadline (which we didn’t do a very good job of conveying) is TOMORROW! Yipe!
4-bit doesn’t really mean anything. Mostly it means in the style of the Atari 2600.

Assuming the deadline will be till the end of the day today. I will have something I love this game series and as an aspiring artist who wants to build focus on video games this is a great opportunity.
We are able to include such works in a portfolio for companies to see, is that fine? I’m not sure what the legal technicalities to contributing, but any legal stuff likely won’t stop me from contributing.

I wish I had more time to have done more, but seeing as I just saw this blog post and caught wind that you guys wanted contributions I only had one day… and more like a few hours within my busy schedule.
I may post or host the images to a site to share with people but for now I’ve included them through e-mail, I hope this is alright.
It was a lot of fun and I wish I could have done more. Please let me know if you like what you see, and if you wanted more I could do that as well (variations, alternate colours and modifications as well).
