Who’s excited for Super Meat Boy?

I know one guy who is!

It’s me!

And if you’re not excited already, then you better watch this IGN preview video RIGHT NOW!

Did you see the totally choice CommanderVideo footage?

He’s rockin’ some new skills that no one outside of the Gaijin office has seen before.

Well, Edmund has. But he is, as they say, in the fold. The sweet, sweet fold.

Sweet.

Go forth and be rad!

Continue rocking on. Over and out.

  2. Fish (Matthew Luper) says:

Ah man. I’m totally getting this game. It looked interesting before, but anything with the Vid in it makes it that much sweeter.

  3. Secret_Tunnel says:

    Veni, Veci, Veni.

Been following this game since its announcement and all this new footage is exciting me very much. But…SPRING? I though it was early 2010. I guess it got pushed back, but knowing that’ll only make the game somehow better than it already looks, I’m okay with that.

Now I feel nothing. All my hype is focused on VOID. I was hyperveryhyper hyped for FFXIII and GT5 but really I do not check them anymore, just gib VOID…
    NOE @$#!%$&$ so #!#@$ &%£# #&%$ and %#$@%&, @#%&%#.
Oh and Super Meat Boy interest me a bit, mainly for the gameplay, I don’t like the graphic/style very much.

  6. Il Piantissimo says:

I dunno, the controls felt a little lose in the Flash game which caused me to lose many a life.

Although I think that’s part of the point…

It’s well presented though, which is rare in a Wiiware game.

  7. Alex Neuse says:

@ Il Piantissimo - I completely agree with you about the Flash game. The controls were the biggest issue I had with the game, and they ultimately led to me putting it down. But I’ve played SMB with a gamepad, and the controls are silky silky smooth. I personally guarantee that you have nothing to worry about control-wise.

This game is going to knock our socks off.

  8. yes and no

yes: i have played the flash version on newgrounds, i found it pretty fun.

true, the controls are a little messed up in the flash version but after a while you get used to it.

seeing CV as a playable character makes this game very tempting.

no: Im not sure if i would want to spend $50 on this. if its $30 ill consider buying it, if not i might just end up renting it. either way im probably going to end up playing this someday.

If this is anything like the flash version, im sure the difficulty is set quite high.

Im considering buying it but im not 100% sure yet

  9. Indigo Getdown says:

Wait, so this is going to be a retail game? Silly me, all this time I was thinking it was for Wiiware :p

Still, it looks pretty fun, and the good Commander’s presence only sweetens the pot. I’ll keep an eye on SMB.

  10. Ben says:

To clear up confusion, this is not a retail release, and is coming to WiiWare.

  11. Diego says:

Pretty cool, looks like N+ with some blood on the walls… I’ll totally get it.

  12. someguyvisitingthissitewhenhewassupposedtobewriting says:

You fools, of course this is a wii ware game duh, he even said “Is one of the most anticipated wiiware titles of 2010″ these days there are about zero wii retail games in pixel based 2D graphics. It’s all in realtime 3D
