To control the game, you hold the Wii Remote sideways and twist it forward and backward.  This control scheme works very well especially since there aren't spinner controllers anymore.  

Also, if you hold it like an NES controller, the Y-axis is not flipped, but if you hold it backwards (like Ralph is), the Y-axis is flipped.  So the option is there for people who prefer an inverted Y-axis.</description>
